1998 – 2006

Sun Group was first established in Ukraine in 1998 by a group of Vietnamese young intellectuals. Initially, Sun Group built its reputation in the Vietnamese community in Ukraine by developing a number of highly appreciated developments, including Barabasova (the biggest commercial centre catering to overseas Vietnamese), Lang Thoi Dai, Sun City – a commercial centre and office building for lease and an in-house waterpark inside the Sun City…

2007 – 2009

When Sun Group decided to officially invest in Vietnam, Da Nang was chosen as its start up point, with a criteria of “quality and difference” and a goal to create timeless products.

In September 14, 2007, Ba Na Cable Car Service Joint Stock Company was established. Two years later, two cable car systems Suoi Mo – Ba Na and Debay – Morin were put into operation, setting two world records in the process. Sun World Ba Na Hills tourism area was officially opened as one of Vietnam’s leading entertainment and leisure complexes, marking Sun Group’s first step in Vietnam.

2009 – 2012

Investment in other categories in Sun World Ba Na Hills continued. Sun Group also built and opened Vietnam’s, and the world’s, leading luxury resort, InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, which has gone on to win numerous national and international awards, together with Novotel Danang Premier Han River and Premier Village Danang Resort.

2013 – 2016

Sun Group’s most impressive project to date was developed during this period, namely Sun World Fansipan Legend. In February 2, 2016, The cable car system that links Muong Hoa valley to the ‘Roof of Indochina’, Mount Fansipan, was officially operated. On the day of its opening ceremony, the cable car set two Guinness World Records. Also, during this period, Sun Group launched two international theme/ entertainment parks, namely, Sun World Danang Wonders and Sun World Halong Complex, this included with many of the world’s best loved games appearing in Vietnam for the first time.

2016 – 2020

In this period, Sun Group will unveil numerous prestigious projects, including Premier Village Phu Quoc Resort, Premier Residence Phu Quoc Emerald Bay, Mgallery Hotel in Sa Pa, Quang Hanh Onsen & Spa in Quang Ninh, Van Don Entertainment and Recreation complex (Quang Ninh province), Hon Thom Cable Car System and Entertainment complex in Phu Quoc, Tam Dao Eco Tourism Area in Vinh Phuc province, Son Tra Ocean Park in Da Nang, JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay (Phu Quoc), all of which will contribute significantly to the development of the local as well as national economy.
